AMERICA…ALINSKY AND SEARCING FOR THE NARROW GATE

Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter trough it are many.  How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life.  And those who find it are few.

The scandals proliferate, our relationship with the world is in tatters, the country grows poorer,  our national security is a joke and Obama ignores it all with all of the insolent disdain he can muster and simply move forward to the next round of actions designed to dissolve the nation.

 

With the immigration bill and his proposals to destroy the coal industry Obama proceeds apace, fearful  of the 2014 elections, to hurriedly finish what he has always promised to do…fundamentally transform America.  His critics are divided as to whether or not he is merely naïve or the pursuer of a more malevolent agenda.  Count me in the latter group.  It is naïve to believe he is simply naïve.  It is time to face facts and believe what your eyes see and ears hear and not what a supine and spineless media and press feeds you daily as fiction disguised as reality.

 

We are losing our country.  Our culture is broken, uninspiring, riddled with falsehood and untruths, hedonistic and far too often… disgusting.  Our youth who are the culture’s principal products have little connection to the historic America due in no small part to the poverty of true intellectual rigor that academia has abandoned.  Our colleges  and more frequently our secondary and primary schools resemble China during the Cultural Revolution.  Our children emerge from these educational, progressive,  plantations with beliefs and values so foreign and alien to their parents and grandparents as to be unrecognizable.  They far too often tend to believe in nothing so that there is nothing for them to base moral decisions on except what popular culture determines that to be at any given moment.  Worse, many are completely unprepared or unqualified for the dwindling number of good paying jobs that this sabotaged economy provides.

We are living not through  the age of Obama but the age of Saul Alinsky the guru of Obama.  The actions of this administration read like Alinsky’s manifesto “Rules for Radicals” who he dedicated to Lucifer the first radical. “Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history... the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”

 In this primer for class warfare and fundamental economic, political and cultural transformation of the United States  he exhorted direct community agitation directed by community organizers.  Alinsky also wrote "One can lack any of the qualities of an organizer -- with one exception -- and still be effective and successful. That exception is the art of communication. It does not matter what you know about anything if you cannot communicate to your people. In that event you are not even a failure. You're just not there." 

 

Hence we have Obama the orator or more succinctly Obama the “emoter”  and not  Obama the leader.  Leading is not the point …radical change is the point and that is accomplished via  emotion and not reason.  Alinsky then enumerates the 13 rules for his organizers to utilize …(1)“Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."
(2)“Never go outside the expertise of your people.”
(3)“Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.”
(4)“Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”
(5)“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
(6)“A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”
(7)“A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.”
(8)“Keep the pressure on. Never let up.”
(9)“The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.”
(10)"The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition."
(11)“If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.”
(12)“The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.”
(13)“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
What’s missing in these rules are any mention or even inference that the struggle and its outcome should first and foremost be about truth, morality, decency, justice, the rule of law, and fair play.   Alinsky and his disciples see the country, religion, morality, civil society and their fellow countrymen instead as the enemy.

 

 The administration has relentlessly followed the Alinsky playbook.  They politicize, dissemble, manipulate, demonize, invent facts, threaten, and relentlessly change history which in turn changes the national narrative which in turn changes the national dialogue... and before we know it we are left standing desperately in the wind defending  things like  traditional marriage because they have  redefined it as evil and us to be "hostes humani generis, enemies of the human race,"
We the people are now enmeshed in a spiritual and secular wilderness of falsehood that we are told to love, worship and act upon as if it were truth.  God has been taken out of the American story and the narrow gate of the gospels where the good and the decent and the faithful strive to pass through to a better place is today mocked as quaint or bigoted. Worse that good gate seems further distant,  more indistinct and even invisible or nonexistent for far too many in this age of lies… lies we are in danger of learning to love because we feel we have no longer have a choice!

The technology we have created to control massive amounts of data on individuals may prove to be the greatest monster of all time.  It is a vessel wherein the most enticing, addictive and intoxicating temptations of man may be stored and then be drunk.  This is something greater than sex or money.  It is the lust for power and dominion over our fellow men and it comes with all the false justifications that is salve for the conscience of humanity.  National security, economic freedom and equality, human rights and social justice all come in counterfeit guise to convince and beguile the user and the used that what is done is for the best.

 

This is the minefield that man has had to negotiate through out history.
The American solution was a map through this wilderness of human failings within a house built with virtue as its foundation, the law as the walls and roof and a rigorous education as the doorway to the sanctuary provided within.

 

This house is our Constitution and Declaration of Independence which when adhered to with wisdom and courage has made us exceptional among the nations of the earth.

 

This present crisis illustrated by the cascade of scandals that have become daily revelations is our worst crisis and the greatest test as to whether this house…our house…can remain standing and in good repair.

 

We are both the lords of the manor on which this great house stands and its servants and housekeepers.  We are its owners only in an incidental sense.  In reality we are more the masons, carpenters and roofers with the obligation to keep it in as good condition as we found it or better…but never worse.  We are also the educators of all who live in this house so that when vacate it they are ready, willing and prepared to assume its proper upkeep.

 

Our secret has always been to do what ever needs to be done however difficult or painful to our self image or our pride to make sure the house stands in splendor awaiting its next inhabitants.
Nothing built by man is permanent.  Too much of a good thing has somehow throughout history has always made us wish for more than we can handle as we over step our boundaries, overlook our limitations and shake our fist at God.

IT’S PRISM TIME IN THE REIGN OF CAESAR OBAMUS

The shelf life of politicians is getting shorter.  It used to be the third term that proved to be the temporal venue where the citizens grew weary of the dearth of new ideas or at least ideas that made no sense.  Time has a way also of orchestrating the unwilling downfall of those who have come to believe that a public life is  the only life for them.  Longevity in the public eye  makes many believe that the genius of their resistance to defeat has somehow imbued them with a majesty that exists only in their own minds.

 

Obama is starting to feel the pangs of normal politics as well he should since the cascade of appalling scandals on his watch would have long ago retired a normal politico to either obscurity or prison.  But our Obama is no normal politician.  Part myth and part illusion ( or delusion) he has ascended Olympus on terms negotiated with  the voters that establish him as the father figure for the country and not its leader.

 

He, and too a certain degree his messengers, have decided that no problem, issue, scandal or outrage is either their fault or theirs to manage and resolve.  Far too many people are willing to give him and them a pass on this due to the fact that the government Obama runs has become enormously bloated and more complex largely due to him.  These same people then reason that since in their opinion he means well,  one cannot expect him to be responsible when things break.

 

The list of scandals run from the IRS to the EPA.  They will be known historically as the alphabet scandals since with each passing day they seem to encompass another government agency.  Taken all together up to this date they are the NSAIRSDOJATFSOSEPAFBICIADOEDOLOSHAPRISMDODNLRBDHHSPPACA scandals or  more accurately and succinctly the POTUS scandals.

 

All roads lead to Obama in this crisis regardless of what MSNBC or CNN try to peddle. He has been the relentless “progressive warrior” determined to fundamentally transform the country into something it was never intended to be and he did not give a damn about how much he broke in the process.  His fanatical belief that the Constitution is deficient and therefore wrong because it did not guarantee equality of outcome has been his touchstone.  He has also been the relentless “class” warrior never missing an opportunity to divide and conquer with rhetoric while  using tax payer funded technology as his sword and a growing clueless electorate as his shield.

 

He succeeded in getting the slackers to vote where others had failed because he understood almost alone among modern day politicians, how little people know about their history, their government and their economy and with that deficiency of knowledge how little they cared.
He also gave them and all the other wings of the Obama coalition free things which in ancient times were bread and circuses.

 

This group coupled with so called “minority” voters who have been convinced that the aristocratic Obama and the wealthy left that are his court, are the only ones who care about people like them.  Obama, never a product of the Civil Rights movement has nevertheless managed to reignite racialism by doing everything he can to create the sorrowful economic conditions that negatively affect blacks and Latinos the most. 

 

His economics, beginning with “Obamacare” as the linchpin of his transformative agenda has prevented an economic recovery for the entire country in the true sense of the word and therein created  a new class of dependents that most states can’t afford to feed and shelter so by default they become the wards of the ever growing Federal state. 

With his reelection which almost failed he felt empowered to move recklessly and arrogantly knowing that “big” media would protect him until he bit the very pets he was feeding and they turned on him.

 

Benghazi, DoJ and the IRS then led to revelation after revelation about how corrupt, arrogant and unlawful government has become under this President.  Comparisons to Nixon have become grossly unfair to Nixon…but then most of the Obama electorate doesn’t know who Nixon was.

 

This has become not an administration but a regime and it threatens the survival of the country as we have known it.  It is determined to leave in its wake a monstrous database that tells the government everything  about everyone.  George Orwell are you listening?  This is what Grendel was to Beowulf providing that we remember how to fight monsters at all.  This Frankenstein data base will be used by evil men and women for evil ends.  I know this because it is the nature of men to tempt the Gods and make common cause with monsters.  This one’s name is PRISIM and we are all technically within its claws.  Others wait in the wings or are on their way.

 

Will Obama survive this  is now not the question.  The question is will the country survive and how?

D DAY JUNE 6, 1944

On June 1st the weather turned bad and the Generals thought that all their plans, deceptions and strategy might, after all this time, have to be postponed. The allies needed a full moon and the spring tides to make this, the most ambitious and largest amphibious landing in history, even remotely successful. Ike had set June 5th as the invasion date for Operation Overlord, but on June the 4th the weather became truly foul and the seas so turbulent that the next day was both literally and figuratively a “washout” The full moon so critical to this invasion of “Festung Europa” was due the next day… June the 6th.

 

Group Captain J. M. Stagg was Eisenhower's chief meteorologist and on June 5th, when asked about the next day, told the Supreme Commander that he detected a possible break in the bad weather and essentially on that projection the decision was made to invade rather than wait another 30 days for the next lunar cycle to complete itself. The operation, planned by a team under Lieutenant-General Frederick Morgan, was again the largest amphibious invasion in world history and was executed by land, sea and air elements under direct British-American command with over 160,000 soldiers as well as 195,700 Allied naval and merchant navy personnel in almost 7,000 ships.

Hitler had been convinced that the invasion was targeted across the Straits of Dover for the Pas de Calais, the shortest distance between England and France. Accordingly he had made his “Atlantic Wall” defenses stronger there than at the southern beaches of Normandy. He was also convinced that the 1st United States Army Group commanded by whom many considered ( with the notable exception of Field Marshal Sir Bernard Law Montgomery) the allies best General … George S. Patton would lead the invasion.. In fact the 1st Army Group was a fiction and Patton and his phantom army turned out to be one of the most elaborate and successful ruses in warfare since the Trojan Horse. None of that however improved Patton’s peevish mood with regard to not leading this operation notwithstanding the fact he was still in the “Doghouse” for infamously slapping a shell shocked soldier in Sicily he believed to be a coward when he commanded the 7th Army.

Field Marshall Erwin Rommel, the “Desert Fox” of North Africa and the “Afrika Korps” was in overall command of the defense of western Europe but he was home in Germany celebrating his anniversary believing that the weather made an invasion highly unlikely to impossible.

An airborne assault landing of 24,000 British, American and Canadian airborne troops began shortly after midnight with the British and Canadians units landing in gliders followed shortly by paratroopers in the areas around the Caen canal and the River Orne. Between approximately 12:25 AM and 2:45 AM 13,000 men of the 101st and 82nd Air Borne Divisions began the largest night paratroop drops in history followed by glider landings of artillery and howitzers. The troops were widely dispersed upon landing making linkages with each other difficult to impossible for at least 24 hours. Ironically the confusion of the chaotic dispersal of the troops also confused the Germans causing them to disperse their defensive responses in like fashion.

At 3:30 AM aerial and naval bombardments began.

At 5:30 AM one hour prior to the landings on the beaches, the U.S. 2nd and 5th Ranger Battalions began their ascent of Pointe du Hoc, a 100 foot high promontory overlooking Omaha beach where coastal artillery was believed lodged. When they reached the top they found the guns had been moved back into the interior away from the coastline in order to cover Utah beach more efficiently but the Rangers found them anyway losing 60% of their men in the battle to capture and hold them.

At 6:30 AM the landings on the five beaches began. The invasion took place along a 50-mile (80 km) stretch of the Normandy coast divided into five sectors from West to East Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword beaches.

Sword, Juno and Gold were invested by the British 2nd Army of 83,115 men which besides 61,715 British also encompassed Canadians, the Free French, Poles, Czechs, Belgians and Norwegians, RAF units of Australians and New Zealanders and ships of the Greek Navy. Omaha and Utah were the responsibility of the US 1st Army which totaled approximately 73,000 men, including 15,600 from the airborne divisions.

Omaha had the worst of it. Of the 16 tanks that landed only two survived the landing. The official record stated that "within 10 minutes of the ramps being lowered, [the leading] company had become inert, leaderless and almost incapable of action. Every officer and sergeant had been killed or wounded ... It had become a struggle for survival and rescue". Within two hours of the landings only infantry could be further disembarked but small units on the beach reformed and made pockets of resistance until they could be reinforced and breech the defensive obstacles the Germans had deployed.

At the end of the first day which had begun with thousands of men, many still boys, climbing into lurching landing craft in rough seas with their hearts in their throats to land on the sandy beaches of a foreign land where other men, many also still boys, waited to kill them. The Nazi Fortress Europe was pierced and the war in Europe would be over in a little over 10 months. But also at the end of that day 2499 Americans and 1915 other free men from around the globe remained in the water, on the beach or in the interior beyond the Atlantic Wall They sleep there still, along with others in the American cemetery, in Colleville-sur-Mer, which contains rows of 9,238 identical white crosses and 149 Stars of David.
We the living, are forever in the debt of those young men for their sacrifice made on that terrible yet gallant day in history which for them would never end.

A REPUBLIC MADAME!!!

This week we have watched the country begin a convulsion as the mask of honest government is ripped away and we have to confront the terrible decisions that “we the people” have made. Years from now history will ask the question “What in the world were we thinking of when we first elected a man with no past to lead the world’s greatest democracy…and then after ample evidence he was not up to the job …we elected him again.

Were we so drunk on the promise of “ transcendent change” that we forsook even a reasonable inquiry of what that meant? Was it the glitter of his persona, so exotic and yet so perfect for this moment of delivery from the shackles of the dull conventions of a Constitution made suddenly obsolete? Did the demanding roar of “we can’t wait“, make us lose all our faculties for self preservation and all our values ?

Now we stand like a deer, in the headlights of an oncoming tragedy that will shape our lives and the history for our children in ways we never contemplated when we went to vote and the only question left to answer is will we do the right things to keep ourselves safe and free?

Doing the right thing requires that we begin to believe what we see and what we read and what we hear so that we can make decisions based on facts and not on myths.

Barack Obama is the stuff of myth. The Barack Obama we elected twice is not real. He is the creation of people like George Soros and David Axelrod. He is the inevitable result of adopting the philosophy of Saul Alinsky and then asking central casting to send us the perfect candidate.

Our children, after being subjected to 40 years of myth making posing as philosophy, literature, history and economics in our schools are now sufficiently ignorant of the world they inhabit that they will follow whoever merely promises them protection from a reality they don’t understand but which they fear. Far too many know nothing of who we are as a nation and how we got here. Accordingly, we now have a fantasy government presiding over a body politic made puerile by political correctness.

The scandals enveloping this President have their origins in the rejection of both fact and truth and faith and honesty. The four and a half years of his reign have been a case study in how falsehood begets incompetence which begets corruption which begets tragedy.

Saul Alinsky, the political high priest for both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton once wrote that “Life is a corrupting process from the time a child learns to play his mother off against his father in the politics of when to go to bed; he who fears corruption fears life.”

This is so immoral on it’s face that it should send shivers up the spine of whoever reads or hears it. All our worst fears of the political process are wrapped up in this vile theorem. Good people flee from politics when they realize that those who embrace the darkness of power for powers sake have ascended the throne and mean to subjugate us and not lead us. Corruption is not a given. Corruption is not embedded in the rules of the game unless we allow it to be.

When we as a nation can begin to say with a growing voice that this is not acceptable and when we understand that our history has been studiously stolen from us as a strategy for our enslavement… then we will begin to regain our freedom from those who have historically always lain in wait like a man eater in the tall grass.

Jefferson once said “Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit: by consolidation of power first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence.”

He, even back at the beginning of the nation understood the fragility of freedom because of the nature of men to take the wrong road due to their own shortcomings. We began as a nation that was supposed to govern ourselves due to an enlightened and educated populace held together by the acceptability of a commonly shared set of virtues. This was the liberty of truly free men and women.

When Benjamin Franklin… one of the few to be at both the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitutional Convention.., was asked by a woman who accosted him after the completion of the Constitution “What kind of Government have you given us Dr. Franklin?” he replied “A Republic Madame …if you can keep it!”

The question remains…can we?
