Bernard Lewis, the noted scholar on Islam once remarked that when something bad happens in the  Muslim world, the predominate tendency is to ask  "Who did this to us?" while in the west the predominate tendency is to ask "How do we fix this?".

 

There is a similar situation existing between so called "progressives" and conservatives and other rational people.  "Progressives" seem programmed to deny personal responsibility and instead find a villain for their problems thereby becoming  victims in the process.  Perhaps that is another reason why the hard left is so sympathetic to Political Islam.

 

Both groups regard America as the source of evil in a world that needs a good cleansing.  Everyone else...conservatives...moderates...independents and other adults focused on solving problems are in charge of or want to be in charge of their own lives and not dependent of others or the government. 

 

Thus when rational people try to debate ideas with progressives, they are often not prepared for the childish, rude  and stupid tactics that they use and consequently spend their time and energy defending themselves against the name calling, the lies and distortions and not making their case...classic Alinsky tactics!!!

 

Any adult with common sense who wants to participate in the world of politics now has to expect Bedlam  from the left so they must begin to learn how to seize the upper hand, spank the unruly child they are engaged with and take control of the debate.

 

In many instances they must act preemptively even if they will later be called by the Alinsky press and media,  bigoted, insensitive, racist, sexist, or any of the other libels that are used to shut down legitimate and sorely needed debate.

 

Instead they have to drive the discussion to facts and not wallow in the emotionalism that the left lives in.  They must make the the discussion about reality as well as the fact that generally their opponents are obnoxious, crude, disingenuous demagogues who care so little about solving problems that often it is simply a waste of time to talk to them.

 

Alinsky advocates the use of ridicule and demonization in order to control the debate and divert it to destroying the individual enemy via a chaotic free for all.  When this is allowed to happen then no rationality can pierce the shroud of lunacy they substitute for reasoned thought and discussion.  So the rational must stamp out the irrational quickly and without remorse.  Rude behavior, talking over people, not letting anyone respond should be met by disdain and similar tactics if warranted or the rational should take control by making the behavior the issue and thereby turn the tables on the opponent. 

 

 With real progressive thugs one has to get in their face by saying that you are there for serious reasons and a serious discussions and they are not.  Then the issue should become why are they there and why do they behave the way they do.  Media that let this happen or who report it as news should be attacked for letting the idiot show go on.  The trick is for the public and the media to be put on notice before the rational enter the field of battle.

 

Prior behavior becomes the predictor of future behavior and sets the stage for the audience to anticipate  jackass behavior and infantilism.  No rational defender of the republic should ever be caught off guard like Paul Ryan was when he debated a sitting Vice President turned jerk who used every vile Alinsky tactic he could against Ryan who never saw it coming.

 

Progressives also like to associate their enemies ( Progressives only have enemies...they never have mere opponents or people who simply disagree with them) with groups they have tried to make people believe are evil or groups that actually are evil...Nazis and the Klan are always a sure bet when you want to demonize someone!

 

The Tea Party scares the hell out of "Progressives".  Their latest tactic is to never say Tea Party without saying extremist in addition.  Most of these loons have never met a member of a Tea Party so they have no clue that Tea Party members are sober, common sense taxpayers who are tired of wasteful spending, huge oppressive government that intrude in their lives, sky high taxes, and watching the hard left trash the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  They are in the main, religious people and people who believe in the Golden Rule.  To "Progressives" this make Tea Party members "extremists"

 

The following are 13 rules to counteract Alinsky bully tactics.

There are probably more but these are the ones that first come to mind.

 

1) prepare the public for the battle...constantly remind them of prior behavior and  stupid arguments...go on offense...get off defense and stick to your principles!

2) pick the battlefield, set the rules and anticipate the attack..

3) have absolute control of your facts and have alternatives ready...

4) counter attack at the first sign of bully and childish behavior...

5) attack the Alinsky "Progressive" media 24/7/365...

6) keep your message simple...

7) use the popular culture to help your fight...i.e. don't let these jerks take Rock n' Roll away from you!!!...take back the culture!!!

8)always be for and focus on the people and their problems ...don't focus primarily on process...remember the 2012 exit polls that showed 85% of the voters who believed that of the two candidates, Obama cared more for people like them... 

9)  expose lies and never let the public forget those lies...

10) use ridicule to make your opponents as ridiculous as they really are...

11) after you have shown people or groups or a party to be  phony make part of the debate about them

12)  attack the language and tone your opponents use and discredit them...

13) force the system to work the way it is supposed to work...

 

 Alinsky leftists are savages who  try to appear rational.  The Media supporting them are savages with microphones.  They are never to be trusted because they have been proven over and over again to be untrustworthy.

 

They are the new Jacobins trying to make the state and not the individual, the power in this country.  The first Jacobins used Libertie, Fraternitie, Egalitie to start a Reign of terror that saw thousands die a bloody death that culminated in a dictatorship.  Its starting to feel like 1793 here in America!

Saul Alinsky was not a nice man.  His radicalism made him a bitter and angry man who rejected his religious upbringing and most of why America is an exceptional country.  He saw America as an evil place, filled with "haves", "have not's" and those who didn't care about what he considered to be structural social and economic inequality in American society ie "the middle class".

 

Alinsky cloaked his hatreds and radical leftism in traditional American nostrums.  This camouflage resembles the doctrine of "Taquiyah" which "Political Islam" uses to lie to their enemies until they are strong enough to totally destroy them.

 

Alinsky traveled amongst the poor and downtrodden and told them that their lot in life  was not in any way their fault.  He preached that society needed to change so that the wealth of the nation could be equally distributed among everyone regardless of who is productive and who simply receives the benefits of that productivity.  He saw community organizing and ultimately the Government as the mechanisms to control and then destroy the free market and by necessity individual rights.

 

He focused first on race and class and then on any other divisive groupings of people that could be used to organize these new communities of "victims".  His two principle books are "Rules for Radicals" which he dedicated to Lucifer the first radical, and "Reveille for Radicals" and both are must reading for those who are confused by

the political turmoil that exists today.

 

 

Alinsky is important because he is the political inspiration of both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.  Obama has taught "Alinsky Community Organizing" and often quotes him  as he did in a speech recently before young Israelis in an effort to get them to challenge their government.  Alinsky is an icon to those who hate America!

 

Those in the 20's and 30's of the last century who either did not read "Mein Kampf" or who read it and did not believe it,  paid a heavy price when Hitler after assuming power, did exactly what he had written he would do.  People who ignore  the writings of Saul Alinsky will pay an equally disastrous price. 

 

Alinsky had thirteen basic rules of which some are more important than others.  The rules are:

1) power is not just what you have but what the enemy (i.e. America) thinks you have...

2) never go outside the experience of your people...

3) go outside the experience of your enemy and cause confusion, fear and retreat...

4) make the enemy live up to their own rules...

5) ridicule is mans most potent weapon...

6) a good tactic is one your people enjoy...

7) a tactic that drags on becomes a drag...

8) keep the pressure on...

9) the threat is more terrifying than the thing itself...

10) tactics require operations that will maintain a constant pressure on the enemy...

11) if you push a negative hard enough and deep enough it will become a false reality...

12) a successful attack requires a constructive alternative...

13) pick the target...freeze it...personalize it...polarize it and go after persons rather than institutions if possible because people are easier targets...

 

Does any of this sound familiar?  It should...it is how Barack Obama has running the country for the last five years,   Look at rules 5, 11, and 13...ridicule...create a false reality and freeze, personalize, polarize and demonize your targets.  Since the shutdown and leading up to the debt ceiling Republicans and conservatives have been called terrorists, wife beaters, extortionists, suicide bombers and the list goes on.  The Alinsky mainstream media and press report each lie and slur with glee and merry abandon.

 

Radical Progressives don't care who they hurt and try to destroy whoever they label as the enemy.  The enemy is not just wrong but evil and thus must be utterly extinguished.

 

Consider the treatment that Bush 43, Sarah Palin, Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Michelle Bachman, Scott Walker, Mike Lee, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, any black conservative among others have received by the Alinsky left and their media cohorts.  Have you ever wondered why you can never have an honest factual debate with a radical Alinsky Progressive...well read "Rules for Radicals" where Alinsky warns never to treat your enemy as human

 

And have you ever wondered why the country keeps lurching from crisis to crisis and no crisis is ever resolved?  Consider "Fast and Furious", the IRS, the NSA, Benghazi, debt ceilings, "ObamaCare" government shutdowns and the like.  Well look at rules 3, 8, 9, and 10.  Keep the pressure on by going outside the experience of the enemy while conjuring up threats that are more terrifying than reality and change the focus of the public  by creating one  crisis after another.

 

The Alinsky progressives have cornered the market on victim hood and have declared minority groups and women as their  sole possessions and Republicans and conservatives have largely let them do this.  Thus they are perceived as  more powerful and on top of the real life experiences of their people who have been allegedly abandoned by the enemy.  See rules 1, 2 and 3.

 

They misuse the Constitution , the rules of the Senate, and law to stop efforts to defeat them (rule 4) and employ tactics that their disciples enjoy such as shouting people down, interrupting, making things up as they go along, using childish symbolism and hobnobbing with clueless celebrities (rule 6)

 

Alinsky radicals don't do well with rule 12.  They don't have constructive alternatives because they don't think in terms of solutions ...instead they think in terms of pure, naked political power.

 

Conservatives and decent people have trouble with all the other rules because being adults and problem solvers, they see most of Alinsky's rules as immoral and leading nowhere.  Consequently they don't know how to fight back.  They bring a pen to a knife fight and a knife to a gunfight.

 

They stand by far too passively in the midst of man made chaos  while as the song says "The walls came down...all the way too hell...never saw them while they're standing...never saw them while they fell !"

Uncertainty exists in nature as part of the human condition.  As such, it can be dealt with through careful planning, insight and foresight so that the individual and collective affairs of a people don't become hopelessly endangered.

 

But when uncertainty is politically "weaponized", it becomes the destroyer of the social compact and a cancer on the nation it targets.

 

This administration uses uncertainty so adroitly that it becomes impossible to believe they are merely inept. After all the creation of chaos, confusion and uncertainty was the bedrock strategy used by Obama's ideological inspiration, Saul Alinsky.  For those who hate capitalism, the free market, individual liberty and democracy...killing certainty will also kill all of the above.  

 

In point of fact, our economy will never recover with out certainty!   Certainty is what allows economic growth to proceed because the job creators will be able to safely make the decisions they need to make to create wealth and grow jobs in the private economy.

 

Everywhere you look however, there is nothing but uncertainty. 

Consider how a near state of perpetual uncertainty has manifested itself over the last five years.

 

The biggest and most controversial example of purposeful uncertainty is the Affordable Care Act or "ObamaCare" which was never read or understood by the Democrats in Congress, who passed it into law without a single Republican vote.  The act in reality is nothing more than a steady roll out of regulations authored by faceless bureaucrats that continue to mystify, astonish, and shock the public as they begin to understand the consequences of a law they don't like and never wanted.

 

"ObamaCare" has never lived up to it's hype.  People are losing jobs, being reduced to part time employees, losing their health insurance or losing coverage for their families.  Their premiums are going up along with their deductibles and co-pays and this entire "Rube Goldberg" system is held together by the threat of fines levied by the most discredited agency in the federal Government...the IRS.

 

On October 1, 2013 the roll out for individuals for "ObamaCare" began on line and crashed in spectacular fashion thereby creating even more confusion and uncertainty than even the harshest critics had predicted.  Meanwhile the President grants illegal waivers and extensions to corporations and unions and the end result of this is more uncertainty.

 

Another example is how Congress and in particular the   Democratic Senate operates.  No budget has been passed since Obama has become President in 2008.  Instead we have one Continuing Resolution after another which has led to Sequestration, a Government shutdown, and political melodramas over raising the debt ceiling.  The end result is fear, confusion and once again more uncertainty.

 

The Senate in addition does not operated under it's rules or "regular order" thereby making the worlds most famous deliberative body functionally  mute and cognitively dysfunctional.  Government in effect ceases to function and partisan chaos rules the day.  The end product is once more... uncertainty!

 

The regulatory agencies have been used to control the economy and stop job growth.  The EPA in particular has passed rules that increase the cost of energy by mandating costly bio fuels, green energy alternatives that cannot  and will not provide reliable amounts of affordable energy for years or decades.  In addition the EPA is now attempting to shut down the Coal industry and try's to create a back door "Cap and Trade system" that Congress has refused to pass..  All of this  creates incredible expenses for the taxpayers and business as well as...more uncertainty!

 

The DoL and DoJ operate with undisguised bias.  The NLRB unconstitutionally  attempts to deny the right of a private corporation to do business in a "Right to Work" state and Czars who are not subject to Senate confirmation make policy in secret.  Again the result is more and more uncertainty because no one knows what this administration will do next.

 

Even with regard to our Constitution there is no certainty.  It is spoken of with mock reverence by this  President and then treated like a crazy uncle living in the attic.     During the last five years this slow erosion  of constitutionality has become an avalanche and thus we live under a government in a land with ever increasing uncertainty!

 

No one truly knows what our foreign or defense policies are. We know what this administration says they are...which change from day to day and crisis to crisis.  Our allies are filled with uncertainty concerning what we are about to do next along with our fidelity to our commitments to them and their safety.  We have become an unstable superpower in the throes of abdication over being a superpower.  We have created a vacuum and chaos and evil are rushing in to fill the void making the entire world a victim of our lack of certainty.

 

Our government turns the agencies of government against its political enemies and no one is fired, arrested, jailed or impeached and we know that government is broken...there is nothing but uncertainty and all bets are off.

 

We are like the ancient Israelites wandering in the wilderness seeking our ancient home of yore that made us great and independent.  We have difficulty today even identifying who we are as a people.  We used to be a melting pot taking the best of who we were and merging it into the best of who we had become.

 

But today there is no demand that we live united...only a demand among some that that no demand at all is placed upon our Americanism.  Thus we have a growing number of languages on our ballots and demands for Sharah Law to replace American law or even the demand to return whole states back to a foreign power.  The Statue of Liberty weeps for this lack of unity and certainty.

 

Uncertainty is a weapon aimed at the heart of our democracy.  It is  used on purpose to destroy us both at home and abroad.  It is not accidental or coincidental , or unrelated to those who think they rule us.  It is designed to destroy us without our fighting back.  It wants us to simply shrug and say this is the price of progress... "Easy come...easy go"!

 The October 1, 2013 front page of the New York Daily News was perhaps the lowest point of its controversial history.  On its cover sat a caricature of Speaker John Boehner, sitting on a Lincoln Memorial style throne a la Kevin Spacey in "House of Cards" but with the headline "House of Turds".

 

 

With that adolescent and vulgar headline, the News sunk back into the swamp it inhabited back in the 1850s and during the Civil War when it was the leading "Copperhead", pro-secession and pro-slavery newspaper in NYC and perhaps the nation.

 

 

There is no further need to to pretend that the Daily News reports facts in an unbiased and objective fashion.  It has become an appendage of the radicals who run the Democratic Party and the willing serf of the most arrogant and disingenuous President ever to sit in the White House.

 

 

Less than two weeks before it had devoted major space and a front page to the demonizing of the AR 15 rifle which is claimed was used in the Navy Yard massacre.  The fact that no such weapon was used was shoddy journalism at best and sheer propaganda for the anti-2nd Amendment/ anti Bill of Rights lunatic left also led by those who wish to bring the nation down.

 

 

Obama survives in large part by willing press and media slaves who cover him in the most fawning and worshipful way possible.  The Schools of Journalism in this country have been busy for years creating the "agit-prop" shock troops needed for the "Progressive Putsch" that will flush away our Constitution, our institutions, our values, our individual liberties as well as our common sense.

 

 

The GOP in the House knew or should have known that fidelity to the promises they made to their constituents about Obamacare would subject them to savage lies and vituperations from Democrats and their President who deliriously wants to meet with terrorists and dictators but refuses to meet with Republicans. 

 

 

His strangle hold on news people pretending they are journalists created by Aaron Sorkin, is perhaps the only thing for which Putin, Assad and the Mullahs truly are envious of him.

 

 

In the lead up to what became Republicans negotiating with themselves, Barack Obama had made promises to America concerning his signature piece of legislation.  He told the nation that "If you like your health plan , you can keep it"..."the uninsured will pay less on a government exchange than they would in the individual market"..."every man, woman and child would be covered"..."it would create new jobs" and then backtracked and said "it wouldn't hurt jobs".  He lied about all of the above and then to make things worse gave illegal subsides to Congress instead of making them subject to "Obamacare" as the statute required. None of this mattered to the Daily News and their ilk.  They only saw an opportunity to destroy Republicans and create a one party nation! After all this is a man who once said “The PROBLEM is that I am the PRESIDENT of the United States; the PROBLEM is that I am not the EMPEROR of the United States.”

The House Republicans tried four times to reach some form of compromise on a law destroying the economy but Harry Reid refused to listen and didn't even have his house in session over the weekend thereby guaranteeing a shutdown. 

 

 

Instead he and others launched an avalanche of barbs and insults for the lackey press to quote and use.  The GOP was called "toddlers trying to get their way"...trying to sacrifice the country like pagans of old"..." obsessed"..."a roving band of anarchists"..."extreme and insane"..." a major party begging to get the nation to fail"..."unhinged and burning down the house because they don't like the kitchen"..."terrorists with bombs strapped to their chests"..."extortionists"... "trying to destroy the foundation of American economic power"..."reckless and irresponsible" and "fakers".

 

CNN, the so called news people who screwed up a Presidential Debate to help Barack Obama,  tried to blind side two GOP members of the House by blaming everything on them and assigning no blame to Harry Reid and Obama.  Reid has not passed a budget in five years and does not allow the Senate to operate under "Regular Order" and thus is the real source of this crisis.  More and more he begins to resemble the Nevada Senator in "Godfather ll" who wakes up in bed one morning next to a dead prostitute.

 

The WW ll memorial which is on open space and thus accessible 24/7/365 was barricaded as part of the shut down making it the prime example of having to spend money we supposedly don't have to shut down a site that requires no shut down.  Military commissaries were closed to deprive military families of tax free groceries in moves by the Executive Branch designed to simply hurt people for political reasons.  It also seems that only 1000 employees out of 16,000 in the job killing EPA are essential thereby begging the question as to why we need the other 15,000.  Again look in vain for reports of this.

 

 

Two journalistic icons of the left however have provided a ray of light in the thick miasma of infantile bombast coming out of the mainstream media.

 

 

Bob Woodward of "Watergate" fame told MSNBC on the "Morning Joe" show that if there is a "downturn or a collapse" resulting from the CR or upcoming debt ceiling negotiations "it will be on President Obama's head" meaning Obama has to lead and not be a critic and "demonizer" on the sidelines.

 

 

Seymour Hersh who broke the story on My Lai and received a Pulitzer and then followed with ground breaking stories on the Cambodian invasion, Watergate and Abu Ghraib lashed out at the American Media in the "Guardian" newspaper in the UK.  He said, "90% of editors should be fired and replaced by those you can't control".  He further stated that "the Obama Administration "systematically" lies and none of the Leviathans of of American Media, the TV Networks, or big print titles challenge him".  "It's pathetic", he said, "they are more than obsequious, they are afraid to to pick on this guy" meaning Obama.

Bob Woodward of "Watergate" fame told MSNBC on the "Morning Joe" show that if there is a "downturn or a collapse" resulting from the CR or upcoming debt ceiling negotiations "it will be on President Obama's head" meaning Obama has to lead and not be a critic and "demonizer" on the sidelines.

 

Seymour Hersh who broke the story on My Lai and received a Pulitzer and then followed with ground breaking stories on the Cambodian invasion, Watergate and Abu Ghraib lashed out at the American Media in the "Guardian" newspaper in the UK.  He said, "90% of editors should be fired and replaced by those you can't control".  He further stated that "the Obama Administration "systematically" lies and none of the Leviathans of of American Media, the TV Networks, or big print titles challenge him".  "It's pathetic", he said, "they are more than obsequious, they are afraid to to pick on this guy" meaning Obama.

 

This President is not leading this nation...he is instead presiding over it's demise.  The Fifth Estate which is supposed to protect us with the truth is in virtual decay.  The Daily News that best demonstrates this putrefaction, I now use only in my bathroom ...but not for reading!
