If your first reaction to the beheading of photo journalist James Foley was to rush to the defense of Muslims or Islam in general, I strongly suspect you need immediate psychiatric help because you are suffering from "Terminal Progressive Multicultural Schizophrenia".  TPMS is a disease of the left whose victims deny reality even when reality has a knife to their throat. 

 

TPMS causes people to believe in fantasy world views and never allow facts or knowledge held by people with first hand experience to affect their opinions. 

 

ISIS aka ISIL aka The Islamic State aka Da'esh  is a demonic monstrosity straight out of the gates of Hell.  Those moral relativists with TPMS who don't believe in evil are about to be shocked because evil is coming after them in ways that their worst nightmares  couldn't conjure up.

 

For those TPMS sufferers who want to ignore this wanton act of savage butchery or ISIS itself so that they can comfortably go back to their I-Pads or Droid phones and pretend that the real world our leaders have created doesn't exist...this is your wake up call!

 

These are not people we are dealing with.  They have abandoned their humanity.  The cannot be reasoned with.  They will not negotiate as normal political entities do.  They must be wiped out like vermin or rabid dogs.  They must be hunted down and put down.  Rights and laws are for humans.  ISIS is comprised of demons.  ISIS  is political Islam in its purest form and as such cannot and should not be contained because it is  political "Ebola" that lives to spill as much blood as it can in the name of Allah.  It must instead be eradicated.

 

Islam should not be defended  because Islam and so called moderate Muslims have allowed this to happen.  Far too many have remained either silent or inactive when it came to cleaning up their own house thereby allowing the cancer to spread.   The truth is that there is very little distance between ISIS and al-Qaeda or Hamas or the Taliban or Boko Haram or al-Shabaab , the Chechens who murdered children in Beslan, the Muslim Brotherhood, Wahabism, Salafism, Hezbollah, Iran and home based groups like CAIR whose major purpose is covering up or excusing atrocities. 

 

Islam in the main and the American/European hard left have been the midwives to this 21st century retreat to medievalism by using PC/progressive/religious rationales to disguise their crime and their guilt. Now it is time to end this madness.

 

 No more "Taqiyya" or saying one thing to the infidel and another to the "Ummah"or fellow Muslims.  No more "Protocols of the Elders of Zion".  No more "Shaheeds".  No more suicide belts.  No more masked cowards in black shouting "Allahu Akbar" after they behead or kill some one.  No more Sharia in place of civil government and Constitutional law.  No more neo-Nazism.  No more anti-Semitism.  No more misogyny.  No more "honor killings" No more "Dhimmitude".  No more killing Christians.  No more pretending they are victims.  No more intolerance.  No more excuses for disgusting  barbaric behavior by their left wing radical allies.

 

ISIS is  the consequence of Political Islam and Progressives coming together to destroy a common enemy...western civilization...Israel...the U.S....individual freedom...us.   It is both disgusting and ominous to see signs reading "ISIS is here" at the protests in Ferguson Mo. last week.

 

Our dysfunctional, gutless, TPMS political system which places party over country and ideologies over even party also shares blame.  We have been fighting a war on terror for over 13 years except for the fact that we never really fought to win a total victory over terror because that would have been a form of military "profiling".   The idea that we are going to treat the slaughter of James Foley as a criminal matter is laughable.  Jamie Gorelick's pre 9/11 "Chinese wall" is now officially back with a vengence.  It is forbidden to even suggest that we are at war with a strain of fundamental Islam that is an existential threat.  What is Holder going to do...send as many FBI agents as he sent to Ferguson to Syria? 

 

TPMS causes people to forget that"Mad dog " ISIS and all their counterparts love death and destruction to serve their Satanic ends.  In Sura 7 verses 16-18 of the Quran,  Satan or Iblis says to Allah  “Because thou hast thrown me out of the way, lo! I will lie in wait for them on thy straight way: Then will I assault them from before them and behind them, from their right and their left: Nor wilt thou find, in most of them, gratitude (for thy mercies).” (God) said: “Get out from this, disgraced and expelled. If any of them follow thee – Hell will I fill with you all.”

 

Too many Muslims have now taken the path of Iblis.  The entire world now needs to be part of  the exorcism of this cancer.  Those with TPMS still want us to believe that no threat exists.  We however all need to remember the famous line from "The Usual Suspects" ... "The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist".

SOCIAL JUSTICE AND THE SOCIAL CONTRACT

 

Social Justice has come to mean permission to resort to mob rule, wanton destruction of private and public property,looting, Molotov cocktails, disrespect for the Police and at times physical attacks on and the shooting of others.  The war for Social Justice is a mask covering a war on the Social Contract. The dirty little secret is that this has been going on for a very long time.

 

"No Justice, No Peace"today means that those chanting this don't want justice via the rule of law to prevail.  It has come to mean the demand for  instantaneous preconceived punishment to be applied and the facts and the truth as determined by law enforcement, Judges and juries be ignored.

 

 

We are seeing all of this now in Ferguson Missouri, where the Governor has announced a state of emergency, called in the National Guard and established a curfew which has failed to stop the looting.  To a much lesser extent it also exists in Staten Island, New York.  In each instance two black males died after encounters with a white cop.  Both of the deceased were allegedly breaking the law, albeit in minor ways.

 

That these two ended up dead is a tragedy.  That both situations were seized upon by racial arsonists like Al Sharpton and criminals determined to exploit the racial anger and chaos are also tragedies.  That Barack Obama felt once again the need to interject himself in Ferguson by equating police actions with criminal activity is a third and unnecessary tragedy.

 

Sharpton and his ilk ignore   black on black crime in places like NYC and Chicago and wait in the tree line for "unequal power" events which end with the death of a black "victim".  Victim  in each case is the operative word. 

 

"Victimhood", with all its waivers for personal responsibility, actions and behavior is what people like Al Sharpton sell like a drug.  

 

The politics of "victimhood" has resulted in double standards throughout American life  and the predictable and resultant fraying of the social contract.  "Victimhood" has also been grafted onto certain groups thereby resulting in knee jerk reactions when bad things happen. 

 

In NYC progressive politicians egged on by people like Sharpton and other left wing radicals now want to discard the "Broken Windows" theory of policing because it allegedly unfairly targets victim groups like blacks and other minorities.  The press has started  calling it "controversial" even though it is the reason that former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and his first ( and now the  present ) Police Commissioner Bill Bratton were able to make NYC the safest big city in the world. 

 

 "Broken Windows" was first theorized by George Kelling and James Q. Wilson and posited that little signs of disorder in the quality of life lead to bigger ones and eventually if left unchecked, a major breakdown in order such as NYC went through in the 1970s and the 1980s and which Chicago is going through now.

 

We are a nation of laws that protect individual rights.  No person or no group is supposed to be exempt.  Yet that is exactly what far too many "victims" who break the law want.  Non-designated  "victims" don't have a prayer  of getting public sympathy for this position because the prevailing progressive ethos will  not allow that to happen. 

 

The fight to allow anarchy and crime to become the norm is a historic tactic of the left as well as a predictable result of the implementation of Social Justice policies.  The objective is to destroy respect for  law enforcement and the justice system in order to replace the above with a nation of government and not one of law.  The innocents who die when the politicians  handcuff the police are of no consequence to these radicals who believe as Stalin allegedly said " you can't  make  omelettes without breaking  eggs".  For progressives dead victims have more power than live ones.

 

"Victimhood"  must be retained only for those who can be used to help bring down the "system" as Cloward and Piven would have it.  So it is reserved for blacks, Muslims, gays, women, illegal's etc.  Everyone else is the enemy and  can go to hell!   Those promoting "victimhood" want chaos because chaos obliterates the social contract and leaves them in charge.

 

Ferguson, Missouri is currently ground zero for Social Justice where first amendment rights and law and order are in a war with anarchy. Two preliminary autopsies of the deceased, one of which was commissioned by the family of Michael Brown puts into question what some alleged witnesses described at the time of the shooting. Now the family has asked for a third autopsy from Eric Holder who is sending 50 FBI agents to Ferguson ( far more than were sent to Benghazi).  This raises the question as whether the Social Justice crowd will keep demanding autopsies until one fits their narrative.   Saul Alinsky is smiling somewhere over the river Styx to see the turmoil that his acolytes  have produced in the heartland. 

 

Sharpton is also planning a march in Staten Island  which is co-sponsored by the city's United Federation of Teachers.  This has raised the ire of many teachers as well as the Police Unions as Gotham's progressives step up their war on cops.  The UFTs involvement invites the question as to whether the city's children are being taught traditional civics or more Social Justice propaganda.

 

Ferguson,  Missouri and Staten Island, NY  are examples of social justice progressivism at its finest or at its worst depending on from which side you are viewing it.  It is where this President who was supposed to end racial strife and his allies has taken us in the fundamental transformation of America. 

 

However none of the above is to deny or diminish the fact that too many law enforcement agencies in this country seem to have rotten relations  with minority communities. Nor should it minimize or dismiss the real fear of harassment or the lure of the street that many black mothers have, when their sons leave the house.  The real truth is that there is no such thing as their cops or their kids.  There is only our cops and our kids...and they need our help.  A young presidential candidate once said something similar...but he has long since disappeared into the Social Justice swamp which has always been his real home.

THE PEOPLE ON THE MOUNTAIN 

The Yezidis are an ancient Kurdish/Arab people with a religion that combines elements of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Zoroastrianism and ancient pre monotheistic  devotion to the sun, the moon, water, fire, earth and air.  There were approximately 70,000 Yezidis in  Iraq, mostly in Nineveh Province near Mosul in the town of Sinjar until they were forced to flee from the violence of the Islamic State or ISIS.

Now 40,000 to 50,000 of them have fled to Mount Sinjar, a holy place to them since they believe that this is where Noah's Ark came to rest after the great flood.  The mountain has always been their home in Iraq with the remaining 180,000 Yezidis in the world living in Syria, Turkey, Iran, Armenia and Georgia.

So the question remains as to why the ISIS wants so desperately to commit genocide on a peaceful people with no homeland , who bother no one and who have lived peacefully amongst both Christians  and Muslims for centuries. 

The simple answer is that the Caliphate that Abu Bakr al-Bagdadi is creating in the 21st century belongs in the 7th century.  The IS will tolerate  no one who does not subscribe to their fundamental and violent version of Islam for very long even if they pay the Jizya tax and assume the mantle of second class Dhimmitude.  They also practice "Takfir" which is determining that those thought formerly to be pious Muslims are in fact not  because they do not believe in the Caliph's version of Islam.  This then make them Kaffirs and subject to death as apostates.

The more complicated answer is that the Yezidis have been looked upon by many Muslims and Christians alike to be devil worshipers and thus beyond the pale.  The central figure in their belief system is Malek Taus, the Peacock Angel who is the greatest of seven angels left by God after the creation to look after the world.  The alternate name of Malek Taus is "Shaitan" which is the Arabic name for Satan. 

The story of their faith is further complicated by the fact that the rise to preeminence with God of Malek Taus  mirrors that of the Jinn Iblis in Islam.  Iblis refused to submit to Adam which Muslims believe caused him to fall out of favor with Allah.  The Yezidis believe just the opposite.  Thus Iblis aka Shaitan aka Malek Taus to them is good and not evil.

The story of their persecution is therefore almost a template for modern middle east politics which for far too many Muslims cannot be separated from their religious beliefs and hatreds.

There are Christians on the mountain also.  Mosul was for a very long time a vibrant Christian community with numerous churches and monasteries all of which are now occupied by the IS who already have blown up the tomb of Yunus  or Jonah.  In this act of violent desecration which mimicked what the Taliban did to the Buddhas of Bamiyan in Afganistan, the IS attacked not just a figure of Christian or Jewish importance but also a Muslim one.  Sura 10 of the Quran is named Yoonus or Jonah.   

But this was but a mild prelude to the slaughter that came next to both Christians and Yezidis.  The ISIS spared no one.  Catholic Online reported  "There is a park in Mosul," Mark Arabo told CNN during a Skype interview from San Diego, "where they actually beheaded children and put their heads on a stick and have them in the park." 

Other children were gunned down with their bodies left to rot in the sun.  Men were crucified and beheaded, at least one woman was stripped naked , turned upside down, had her throat slit and her blood filled up a bowl beneath her  as if she were slaughtered in an abattoir  under religious law.  We know this because of photos which the ISIS post as well as others to terrorize the population.  Christian and Yezidi wives are also separated from their husbands, raped and forced to be wives to ISIS fighters all consistent with the rules of war established by Muhammed in the 7th century.  On the mountain parents are reportedly throwing their children to their death rather than let them fall into the clutches of ISIS.  

300,000 Chaldean Christians also have fled to Kurdistan or to Mount Sinjar where they beg for rescue.  As late as 2003 there were over one and a half million Christians living in a multi-sectarian secular but murderous Iraq under Saddam Hussein.  Now that number has dwindled to between 350,000 to 450,000 all of whom are  refugees on the run if in the north.

Those who sought sanctuary in Kurdistan under the protection of the Peshmerga are now once again being threatened  by The ISIS forces advancing on Erbil the Kurdish capital with state of the art U.S. made weapons captured from Iraqi soldiers who fled when attacked by the smaller forces of ISIS.  The Kurds are running out of ammunition and need to be re-supplied with every thing up to date that the U.S. has just as Nixon did for Israel during the Yom Kippur War.  The U.S. also has to use overwhelming air power to obliterate this Da'esh army while it is still in the high desert in open convoys.  ISIS and much of the world  believe Obama won't do anything.  They must be proven wrong.

Meanwhile the people on the mountain wait for food and water to survive knowing that if they come down that mountain they will be butchered.  Obama has promised them that help is on the way.  He has inferred that he will use air power if U.S. interests are threatened.  He has promised to avert a humanitarian genocide.  It is right and fitting that he should do all of this.  It was after all, his misguided policies in leaving Iraq that has caused this debacle to occur.  

We all need to pray for the people on the mountain.  Guns and food are essential but only prayer can connect them to us in deeply human ways.  The blood of the innocents and the martyrs  flows like a waterfall in Iraq and Syria today.  ISIS is doing to the infidels what Hamas wants to do to Jews.  Only a Judaic-Christian civilized people with the will to acknowledge evil and then fight it to the death can stop this genocide.  If war is politics by other means then destroying the real devils of ISIS is an exorcism by other means.  Meanwhile the people on the mountain wait to see if they are alone.

AGAIN...NEVER AGAIN

 

 

Never again has come again.  The Jew haters of the Islamic world, Europe and the "progressive" left of the Democratic Party are all marching in lock step in demanding that Israel stop defending itself and instead lay down and let the "final" final solution of the new Shoah take its inevitable course.

 

 Hamas, hiding behind women and children, with rockets and missiles stored in UN schools, clinics, crowded tenements and terror tunnels beneath hospitals, nursing homes and Mosques,  intends to sacrifice innocent people in order to win a public relations victory aided by an anti-Zionist/anti-Semitic world press.  Their weapons are photos and videos of dead and maimed children and wailing women, who in many circumstances  were not allowed by Hamas to seek shelter after the IDF warned occupants of targeted buildings that they were going to bomb them.   Despite all of this, Obama over and over signals his support for Hamas by the immoral use of moral equivalency  in condemning  the violence. 

 

And then of course there is the simple question of why Hamas who has been attacking Israel for nine years has never built real shelters for the residents of Gaza, whom they rule? 

 

Hamas has said for years that they will ultimately defeat the Jewish state because they love death and Israel loves life.  Thus in the primordial swamp that is the modern Middle East, this logic makes Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hezbollah, Iran, the Islamic State, al-Qaeda, Ansar el-Sharia, el-Shabaab and all the other savages there and across the globe in their minds, the inevitable winners.  This fanatical belief in victory through holy terror is augmented by the support of western social justice radicals whose moral relativism is so infected with disease that even cutting off the heads of innocent people is ok if it will lead to the destruction of the big and little "Satans". 

 

Add to this those cynical western politicians who publicly profess to support Israel and then do everything possible behind the scene to undermine  their ability and right to defend themselves.  Today polling shows that a majority of Democrats do not support Israel and overall only a bare 51% still support our most important ally in the world. 

 

The US through the FAA declared Ben-Gurion Airport off limits to US carriers thereby handing Hamas a  PR victory.  The feckless Europeans all followed suit save the Brits.  The US continues to fund the PA even with Hamas as a full partner.  John Kerry, who may be a worse Secretary of State than Hillary Clinton, is openly contemptuous of  Israel  joining his boss who has complained to other world leaders about Netanyahu in particular.  Kerry has gone so far as to attempt to force  two cease fires down Israel's throat one of which that was designed by Turkey and Qatar, who are the current principal sponsors of Hamas.  This second cease fire would have allowed Hamas to rearm and regroup, and was vehemently denounced by even the left wing Israeli press.  This in turn made  Kerry both angry and puzzled as to why his efforts were being demeaned and he was being asked to stay home.

 

Subsequent to this it was reported but denied by both Israel and the White House that Obama imperiously ordered Netanyahu via a phone call to immediately cease fire as if the Prime Minister worked for him.  Later in the week his chief advisor Valarie Jarrett and State Department spokes woman Jen Psaki weres critical of Israel, implying that the death of children was their fault and not that of Hamas.

 

Yet on multiple occasions Israel has agreed to stop its incursion if Hamas stops it attacks by rocket and the tunnels are permanently shut down and Gaza is demilitarized.   Hamas however always either refuses or immediately begins new attacks egged on by Iran, Hezbollah, Turkey and Qatar, thereby keeping the anti-Semitic bandwagon rolling on with new scenes of innocent dead.  No one, most of all Israel, wants to see dead children excepting Hamas and their murderous sponsors and allies. 

 

Demonstrations in support of Hamas have occurred both in the US and Europe with the European ones labeling Israel, Zionism and Jews in general as Nazis.  The irony is that many of these same demonstrations have mostly non Muslim participants waving Swastikas and Hammers and Sickles along side one another as if Molotov and Ribbentrop had come back from the dead.  Scratch a progressive and you will find a Fascist...scratch a Fascist  and you will find a Marxist!

 

Since 1948 Israel has been surrounded by 300,000,000 Muslims most of whom want to eradicate it.  They tried in 1967 and in 1973 and in Lebanon.  Peace came with Egypt and Jordan but the Palestinian Authority in the famous words of Abba Eban have "never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity".  The truth is that Israel has never had a true partner for peace.   The truth is also that the so called "Occupied Territories" ( Gaza is not one) of Judea  and Samaria are part of the Jewish Homeland created by the Balfour Declaration.  The so called boundaries that everyone talks about are armistice lines and were never meant to be permanent.  The "two state solution" is a dangerous fantasy first supported by the US in 1973 and by Europe even longer.

 

 

The decades old notion that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a root cause of turmoil in the region is sophomoric and the notion that not having a Palestinian state is the cause of anti-Jewish and now anti-Christian violence in the lands of the Bible is equally naive.  Carolyn Glick in her new book "The Israeli Solution" makes a cogent and reasoned case for a one state solution.  Reality is pushing Israel towards that position particularly with a chief ally as fickle and uncertain as this President who with Europe and the UN prefer to hunker down and continue to defend the indefensible.

 

It is time to take diplomacy out of dreamland.   Israel is where two great religions were born which changed western civilization forever.  Israel is the hope of the Middle East and not the cause of the regions chronic dysfunction and insanity.  Israel in fact is us...everyone who believes in democracy, pluralism, universal sufferage , individual rights, free markets and the qualities of mercy, love, life and peace unstained by hate.  We are all Israelis if we believe in these things and so we all must again say... never again.

 

And thus here Israel and the world are after 11,000 rockets since 2005... 66 years after its independence...over a hundred years after the dream of its restoration...over four thousand years from its ancient origins...a garrison state that is a great democracy in a sea of terrorists, autocrats, theocrats and kleptocrats...a home for any Jew who has none...a refuge for the despised and displaced...a land bestowed by an sacred covenant...a place where an often  cruel history of a noble people allows every Israeli to say "This land is mine...G-D gave this land to me!"

A NATION OF LAWS

 

The DC Circuit Court recently handed down a 2 to 1 decision in a case entitled Halbig v Burwell.  That decision sent shock waves through the Beltway because it ruled that anyone who receives health care through an exchange established  by the Federal Government and not by a state is not eligible for and should not receive a Federal subsidy in the form of a tax credit or other relief.  "Section 36B plainly makes subsidies available in the Exchanges established by states," wrote Judge Thomas Griffith, who was joined in the majority decision by Senior Circuit Judge Raymond Randolph.

 

The  ACA was purposely designed to make the states the portals whereby "ObamaCare" was delivered.  Confining the subsidies to qualified individuals who purchased their health insurance through a state created "Marketplace " was a deliberate effort to create incentives for the states to participate, as those who conceived and wrote the law intended.  The language is as the court noted, plain and unambiguous leaving little to no confusion as to its intent. 

 

36 states however, refused to establish an exchange thereby requiring the Federal government to step in and create a Federal Exchange.  As a result, 4.7 million Americans who enrolled through the Federal exchange and who have been receiving subsidies due to an IRS ruling which turned the plain language of the statute on its head, may down the road lose this assistance.  This loss is estimated to  increase the cost of their coverage by a factor times four or greater and would gut "ObamaCare" to the bone. 

 

 A joint investigation of the House Oversight and Ways and Means Committees found this rule, which the working group tasked with developing regulations for the ACA believed to be contrary to the language of the law, was written at the insistence of political appointees in Treasury and the IRS and in collusion with officials of HHS.  

 

 

An hour after this decision was announced the Fourth Circuit Court in Richmond arrived at an entirely opposite  decision unanimously in an almost identical case named King v Burwell.  This division by Appellate Courts is seen as an automatic path to the Supreme Court ( SCOTUS) for final determination.  The White House in an attempt to offset this possibility  moved to have the three Judge DC Court decision reviewed  en banc or by all 11 Judges, three of whom were recently named to the court by the Obama administration.  Two other cases await decision in other circuits.

 

Judges Griffith and Randolph however have identified and elevated a core issue in these cases, that rises above  the clear language of the law and now haunts it along with other ghosts.  The main issue now is the sovereignty of the Legislative Branch to write laws in plain language and not have the Executive  or Judicial branches change their meaning via regulation, executive order or opinion. 

 

Ironically Halbig now resides in the same constitutional domain as Speaker Boehner's law suit against the President  where we are facing basic questions.  Who in this Constitutional Republic has the sole responsibility to make law, enforce law and interpret law?  The confusion that these questions insinuate lie at the heart of the larger constitutional crisis this President and this Attorney General has put the country in. 

 

The defenders of "Executive legislation" will probably insist that they are not legislating at all and will instead focus on the word "establish" and argue that when a state demurs  in "establishing" an exchange , they are simply asking the Federal Government to "establish" one for them so that in reality it is not a matter of ownership but rather of methodology that arrives at the same end. 

 

Don't laugh, Eric holder tried something similar in trying to make the District of Columbia  a state without going through the process of amending the Constitution.  Nor should any one forget all of the Presidents lies about keeping your health plans which were later explained as not being as specific as they should have been. 

 

They will also attempt to defend the notion that it was the intent of Congress, or in this case the Democrats in Congress, to make sure that subsidies were available for all even when the record will not sustain that point of view. 

 

For example Jonathan Gruber, an MIT economist who was instrumental in developing the law and who has bragged that " he knows more about the law than any other economist" said  at least twice in 2012 that "What's important to remember about this is if you are a state and you don't set up an exchange, that means your citizens don't get their tax credits-but your citizens still pay the taxes that support this bill.  So you're essentially saying [to] your citizens you're going to pay all the taxes to help all the other states in the country. I hope that's a blatant enough political reality that states will get their act together and realize there are billion of dollars at stake here in setting up these exchanges.  But, you know, once again, the politics can get ugly around this."

 

Now Gruber is shamelessly changing his story because the political and fiscal strong arm tactics towards the states failed and is saying that it was a typo or a "speak-o you know like a typo". Such is the "ugly" politics of ObamaCare, which is after all the law of which Nancy Pelosi famously said "we will have to pass it in order to see what's in it"! 

 

Every day it seems a little clearer that the "sausage" the sausage makers made in this law is not even made of meat and is truly inedible.  Upholding Judges Griffith and Randolph will cause great confusion and hardship but upending the separation of powers is a far greater and lasting calamity to the Republic.  When one or more of the branches decide to escape from the tree it means that both branch and tree will perish.  Given all of this the only real fundamental issue for the next election will be the questions... are we still and do we want to be... a nation of laws? Or are we satisfied in not being who we used to be?

HE WORKS HARD FOR THE MONEY

 

On Thursday July 17, 2014. Israel began a land, sea and air incursion into the Gaza Strip, in order to neutralize Hamas, one of the most pestilent Islamic terror groups on earth.  On that same day Pro Russian separatists, most probably working with or under the command of Russian Federation Spetsnaz forces in the rebel Donets region of the Ukraine, used a very sophisticated ground to air missile system to shoot down a  Malaysian Air 777 passenger jet  killing all 298 on board.  This included 80 children, 3 infants and at least one American citizen.

 

While all of this was unfolding, Barack Obama went to two fund raisers in Manhattan.  Six days later as the fighting in Gaza intensified and the bodies of the dead from MH-17 were put into body bags , he jetted out to the west coast for six more.

 

This was not the first time he has shown such bizarre detachment.  He did exactly the same thing the day after Benghazi,  when the Russians invaded the Crimea,  and most recently in Texas at the peak of the crisis of the "Border Children.  He steadfastly refused to visit the southern border or any of the detention camps where the children were being warehoused.

 

Having to face the predictable outcomes of his awful domestic and foreign policies is not Obamas strong suit.  His vision of being President is  first and foremost being adored by either mega-rich celebrities in Hollywood where he is the star and they are relegated to supporting roles or  Texas oil men or bankers, hedge fund moguls and financial titans from Wall Street  or billionaire "geeks" from Silicone Valley... and the list goes on. 

 

These are the comforts zones for the strangest man ever to be President.  These venues appeal to him even more than the golf course or extravagant vacations which have now cost the taxpayers over $44 million.

 

He needs the adulation, the applause, the grinning perfect teeth in tanned and botoxed faces attached to whippet  thin  men and women who have taken their bodies in for a "do over" and "tune up" more than once.  So many of his high on vanity fan base search for eternal youth.  He searches for perpetual worship.  To paraphrase the fictional Frank Underwood, he loves to be worshipped "like a shark loves blood".

 

The nation and the world descends into chaos largely caused either by his inability to lead or a malevolent plan to destroy ( take your pick the outcome is the same) and he seems not to care a wit...not a fig...not a smidgen.  He gave a speech...his work is done...it's now up to someone else...the buck stops over there!

 

His obsequious  and fawning press  and media, while beginning to slowly slink away from him, will still provide him cover because so many of them are professionally invested in him being the messiah they have proclaimed him to be.  But nothing stops the music so fast as when the first acolyte says "wait, I've heard this song before and I'm bored" and then the realization begins that he is a one hit wonder and not the Beatles.

 

His lack of interest in us or in the disasters he has and is still causing us, demonstrates a cold blooded and almost reptilian streak that does not comport with the traditional role of a President being the "father of the nation"  Instead his chief concern seems to be that we not make a face or grimace as we stand behind him and listen to the same speech he has given for over five and a half years.  We are his props not his friends...not his constituents...not the people he has sworn to protect.

 

His Presidency has also been the Presidency of the never ending campaign where there are no hard decisions no specifics, and no finger pointing at him only finger pointing by him.  He eschews the art of governing because he never learned it or bought into democracy at "Alinsky University".  He learned instead the arts of vagueness, deflection, "ad hominem" attack, slander and disingenuousness..

 

This is the skill set that got him to where he is today...an ongoing appeal to the emotions targeted to the superficiality of the age we live in.  This is the act he knows and the one he will continue to perform in the light of day. None but a few know what role he assumes in the dark of night. 

 

Fundraisers, meamwhile, never become extinct and there in the salons of the rich and famous, the banquet rooms of the high and mighty , the beach front Xanadus of the "glitterati" he becomes the President  he loves to be and he works hard for the money.

2016  

Both Republican and Democrat presidential candidates should understand that to win in 2016 will mean changing the dangerous trajectory that Obama and the "progressives" have inflicted on the nation.  In a bi-partisan manner, if possible, they should  demonstrate to an exhausted, skeptical, fearful and angry public that the country can be turned around and led to growth, strength, full time jobs with good wages, individual freedom and prosperity.

This will mean the return of "certainty" to our domestic and foreign affairs, reestablishing the rule of law and renewing national fidelity to the Constitution.  At a minimum these will require a sharp curtailment of the administrative state that the left so reveres.  It will also necessitate a well thought out  and long overdue shrinkage of a bloated and morbidly obese Federal government.

  

Regulatory and other governmental agencies that have become power mad should be abolished and/or de-funded and only their most fundamental and essential legal functions should be preserved.  The IRS, EPA, CSB, NLRB, OSHA, NRC, BLM, NMB, FERC AND FEC have all violated their mandates and are no longer trusted.  Add to this, DoJ, DVA  and HHS which also act like imperious thugs and you begin to see a government out of control, behaving like criminals and contemptuous of the people who pay their salaries. 

The country must grow and become the most prosperous nation on the globe once again.  We must become energy independent in such a way that it results in us have the cheapest and most varied amount of power in the world causing investments and job creation to flow into the country.

We must fix what the Heritage Foundation calls our "confused, unfocused and dysfunctional"  immigration system by closing the southern border and then rethinking logically and systematically, what our immigration priorities will be.  For those here legally and illegally criminal behavior must result in immediate deportation after conviction and punishment.  Amnesty with a path to citizenship should be limited to those who were brought here as small children and those who serve honorably in the military.  Work visas should be available for those who have skills in areas experiencing difficulties in filling openings or capital to invest in legitimate job creating businesses.  Interior enforcement should be robust and unambiguous.  The primary goal of immigration should be patriotic assimilation into an equal opportunity society and not multicultural assimilation into a dependency society with open borders.

We must insist upon fair and honest elections that are verifiable.  The dead, the fictional, the clones, the 

Doppelgängers ,  the ineligible,  and the non citizens must stop registering and voting.  Rasmussen reports that 68% of the country believe that elections are rigged for incumbents and there have been voting irregularities reported in 46 states. 

Growth and prosperity is also directly linked to a total overhaul of the tax code which now smothers the economy with both crony capitalism and crony socialism.  The trillions of dollars earned and taxed abroad should not be taxed again if they are brought home.  This alone would begin to reduce the additional trillions of dollars now being invested abroad  instead of at home.  Tax rates for personal and business should be lowest per capita on earth and the tax base should be the broadest.  Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley need to be either repealed or redrawn so that banks can function productively and the market can function efficiently while both sectors operate transparently and honestly.

Our future workers, citizens and leaders must be the best educated in the world.  This means that the union monopoly should be ended and parents given as much choice as possible in a new globally competitive elementary and secondary school environment dominated by great teachers and not absurd work rules.  The emphasis on STEM education should be matched by equally emphatic  efforts to teach History, Civics, English, Literature, Art and Music. 

Academia  needs to become ideologically and politically diverse.  Our higher education system now currently resembles something out of the  old Soviet Union.  Free speech has given way to political correctness on steroids and tuition for this ghastly parody of university education has been stimulated by PC requirements of the Federal Government and its monopoly on student aid.  Public monies  should follow free speech and diversity should be focused on ideas and not group think and quotas.

The social safety net must be repaired or it will disappear.   Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are busting budgets on the Federal and/or state levels.  Healthcare alone represents over 20% of the GDP and ObamaCare will only make that number grow while delivering more expensive sub-standard care to the majority  of Americans accompanied by millions of man hours of administrative paperwork now required of health care providers.  ObamaCare needs to be replaced with a market driven program and bureaucrats need to get out from between patients and their doctors.  The over 80 programs for children and adults must be streamlined and sent to the states in order to end duplication, fraud and exorbitant administrative costs.

We need to be the most powerful military nation in the world.  This President is in the process of unilaterally disarming us.  His pattern of weakness, indecision and appeasement has created the most dangerous threat to world peace and stability in history. To reverse this we must make the nation invulnerable to any kind of attack including CYBER, EMP and WMD.  Our defense and intelligence forces should be second to none and able to prevent or respond to both symmetrical, asymmetrical or terrorist threats and challenges.  Our allies and our enemies and any and all in between should understand with perfect clarity and certainty that threats to peace and freedom will be met with resolve and overwhelming strength.  In short we need the defensive capability to withstand any attack and the offensive capability to deter an attack or obliterate anyone who attacks us.

We now live in a weak country with a diminishing and under educated workforce, massive dependency on the Federal Government, infinitesimal annual growth,  crushing debt and sky high annual deficits, a threatened social safety net and health care system, a degraded and demoralized military, non existent national borders and Federal agencies making up law as they go along. 

All of the above is now sustained by a lack of intelligent and mature leadership that places country above party.  2016 will be...no it must be... the election that restores America.
