A MODERN TALE OF TWO  CITIES

 

IT WAS THE BEST OF TIMES IF YOU WERE CRAZY, IT WAS THE WORST OF TIMES IF YOU WERE SANE, IT WAS  THE AGE OF DECEIT, IT WAS THE AGE OF IGNORANCE,  IT WAS THE EPOCH OF FALSE MESSIAHS, IT WAS THE EPOCH OF LYING RULERS, IT WAS THE SEASON OF MURDER, IT WAS THE SEASON OF MARTYRS, IT WAS THE SPRING OF DEPENDENCY, IT WAS THE WINTER OF UNCERTAINTY, WE HAD EVERYTHING BEFORE US IN THE PAST, WE HAD NOTHING BEFORE US IN THE PRESENT, WE WE'RE ALL GOING DIRECT TO  CALAMITY, WE WERE ALL GOING DIRECT INTO THE DARK UNKNOWN- IN SHORT THE PERIOD WAS SO FAR LIKE PERIODS OF TURBULENT DISASTER IN THE PAST THAT SOME OF ITS MOST DESPICABLE AUTHORITIES INSISTED ON IT BEING RECEIVED AS GOOD WHEN IT WAS MOSTLY BAD IN THE SUPERLATIVE DEGREE OF PROPAGANDA BEING PEDDLED AS TRUTH!

Washington  D. C. and New York City are capitals.  One of the nation and the other of the world.  What happens in either has enormous  impact on people far removed from those who actually live there.  With their access to political, economic and cultural power, they set things in motion for everyone else and often what they set in motion is not good.

 

In both D.C. and NYC the inmates are running the asylum.  Standards, laws, rules and regulations are now subject to the whim of those in charge.  In both cities the governments are run by zealots who dislike law and order, capitalism, religion with the exception of Islam, conservatives, educational choice, tax cuts, non union workers, Israel, the military, cops, free market health care, energy provided through coal, gas, nuclear and oil, counter terrorism  and the Constitution for starters.

 

In Washington, President Obama has crippled the economic, military and political power of the United States.  He has done everything possible to create a socialist nation that is not the freest or the strongest nation on the globe.  He has undermined the rule of law and the Constitution and used the agencies of government to attack and punish his enemies.  His Health Care, tax, budget and energy policies have made most Americans poorer save  the wealthiest 1% whom he rails against and then solicits money from.

 

His administration is inept, amateurish,incompetent, ideologically driven, prone to thuggery, illegal activities, race baiting, using dual standards for friends and enemies and unable or unwilling to solve the real problems of real people.

 

His handling of the IRS , Benghazi, Ebola, ISIS, ObamaCare, the Ukraine, Russia, China, Iran, immigration, energy and Syria and Iraq are just a few examples of a man who through his own ineptitude or willful design has now built a scaffold   to hang himself on as the country burns.  To be fair he did not do this alone he had the help of a Democratic Party comprised of people like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid who has castrated the Senate and not allowed even bi-partisan bills to see the light of day.  Congress does not function because Obama, Pelosi, and Reid don't want it to.  If it did they would not be able to blame the Republicans any more. 

 

In NYC, "the Big Apple" the regent of the nanny state of "Bloombergastan" is gone and replaced by the Progressive Prince of "Deblasiopolis'.  New Yorkers just can't seem to catch a break but in reality it is largely their fault since 78% stayed home last year when DeBlasio was elected with 74% of 22% who voted which he promptly declared to be a mandate for Obama style change.  He then had the worst opening six months of a new Mayoralty in recorded history with intervening with the police for a political crony, trying to close down the carriage  horse industry so a political donor could buy and develop the land where the stables for the horses were located. He then lost  a war against charter schools which by and large  provide most of the quality education and success for poor minority children.

 

During this first year he kissed the rings of almost every Public Union chief with the head of the UFT being the most prominent, gave out unaffordable  raises as rewards for their election support, helped declare a war on cops with the even more left wing City Council passing laws to further hamstring effective policing and make Cops personally liable if they make a mistake.  He sided with the crowd when it came to the death of a Staten Island man resisting arrest when the final determination as to what happened is yet to be decided.   Recently when an apolitical rally to support the police was held in Staten Island, neither DeBlasio or Police Commissioner Bratton  bothered to attend. 

 

 DeBlasio further undermined the police when he convene a meeting at City Hall during the summer and let the Rev Al Sharpton sit on the dais with him and the Police Commissioner and lecture and berate the Commissioner and all cops in general.

 

Sharpton is  a physical link between both administrations and an example of what and who both administrations think is important politically.  During the Ferguson riots,  Rev. Al  served as the spokesperson for the Brown family and also  as the White House eyes and ears reporting to Obama's Rasputin, Valarie Jarrett.  He then would report on the  news he made  on his own MSNBC  television show stretching journalistic ethics to the limit.  He now brags he will be an advisor as to who will be the new AG of the United States. 

 

Not to be outdone by NYC in cop hating however, D.C. Councilman David Grosso now wants to take guns away from Washington police officers.

 

DeBlasio hired Sharpton's main assistant, Rachel Noerdlinger to be his unelected wife's  Chief of Staff for $170,000 a year.  Noerdlinger who had been arrested for assault in 2010 neglected to disclose   on her personal disclosure forms (which is supposed to be a crime) that she lives with an ex-felon who has been convicted of drug and homicide charges and who spews anti white and anti police bilge on social media.  Nor did she disclose that she had an outstanding IRS lien or that her live in boyfriend was arrested while driving her car without a license while smoking weed with two bags in his possession and with her minor son in the back.  It was discovered later that she was also in the car at the time and that she has thousands of dollars of unpaid parking tickets.  She asked for a waiver so that she could continue to live in NJ because her son had been injured in two auto accidents but it turns out he was an all high linebacker last year for his local HS football team.  At present she attends sensitive NYPD briefings with the Mayors unelected wife.  Most of the city's newspapers  are demanding she be let go.  Stay tuned...the fish always rots from the head.

 

Mayor Bill's big move in 2014 was  initiating Universal Pre-K citywide.  The only problem was that in the fall roll out he had not submitted his documents promptly so that people working with four year olds could be screened to ascertain if they were ex-criminals or worse sex offenders.  The city's two big left wing blowhards  the "do nothing" Public Advocate and the "Che Guevera" loving speaker of the City Council were outraged that this delay took place despite the reason for it.

Public Advocate Letitia James who shamelessly used a homeless child as a political prop when she was sworn in now doesn't seem to make it into work on a daily basis... but that is probably for the best.

 

 Gun violence has gone up in NYC because of the limits on stop, question and frisk and quality of life crimes are coming back because the pro-crime wing of the Democratic Party say the Broken Windows theory of policing is "racist" just like voter IDs. Mayor Bill however wants all illegal aliens to have Municipal photo IDs which would make NYC the # 1 "sanctuary city" in the country and would make voting by non-citizens easier.  Sound familiar?

 

Its hard living in Obama's America but try living in both places.  I'm not asking for pity or even empathy I'm merely asking for help.  The avenues of escape are closing for those of us in Baghdad on the Hudson, USSA.  We need Superman of Metropolis or Batman of Gotham to save us.  We are lost, can't find true North, off course and we need to get back on the yellow brick road.
